A meticulous landscape design breathes life into the space.
The former agricultural land is being transformed into a new nature reserve, with a fresh palette of colours for every season. Creeks, water features, dikes, and shrubs are bringing the polder landscape back to life.
Native trees, bushes and grasses emphasise the unique character.
‘Nature is the best investment
for the future’
The site is not visible from the road, concealed behind green dikes. Two discreet bridges lead into the reserve.
A cart track over cattle grids, cobblestones and sand takes you to your private entrance, unobtrusively blending into the lush surroundings.
Your own land plot available from €2,175,000 (excl. costs and country house).
A LANDSCAPE THAT
HAS ITS OWN RHYTHM
The landscape of Catsand Island was designed by landscape designer Corinne Lecluyse from landscaping firm Omna.
Her design exudes the same tranquillity and refinement as the project itself, carefully balancing spaciousness with cosiness.
The homes are not next door to nature: they’re right in the midst of it. Creeks and meadows form a new landscape that seems as though it must have grown organically around the architecture.
Indigenous plants, the gentle contours of the landscape and the salty sea air characterise the area. Lush, without being lavish.
All kinds of greenery, from hawthorn and hazel to herbs and grasses filled with butterflies give colour to the landscape and mark the rhythm of the seasons.
Rows of pollarded willows follow the line of the water and catch the light, while isolated trees create structure and depth. The reeded banks and the creek provide a rich habitat for birds, insects and amphibians.

Cadzand beach and the North Sea are walking distance away. Beyond, a wide polder landscape unrolls into the horizon.
This is a place for relaxing with the rhythms of nature.
Cadzand invites you to slow down and look around
Zeeland is known for its pure flavours. Fresh fish, oysters, mussels and other briny specialities come direct from the North Sea.
Cadzand is also home to some of the finest restaurants in the Netherlands, where top chefs translate the sea’s riches into a culinary experience that is both subtle and unforgettable.
